Have you been wanting to do something tangible to help the folks in Ukraine who are suffering? In the face of incredible obstacles, don’t despair at being unable to fix it all. Instead, let’s do what we can – and this is one of those things. People’s City Mission is teaming up with Convoy of Hope to provide some much-needed items to the people of Ukraine. Specifically, we are being asked to collect diapers and baby wipes, which their workers in Ukraine indicate people are in most desperate need of at the moment. Collection is from April 6 – April 22.

Convoy of Hope is a large international relief agency with warehouses in Poland as well as distribution centers in Ukraine itself. As it so happens, People’s City Mission has an ongoing relationship with Convoy of Hope. For the last several years they have been donating bulk items to our Help Center that we have given away to struggling people in our community. We think this is a good time to reciprocate!

They are sending a truck to Lincoln on April 22nd to pick up whatever amount of diapers and baby wipes we can collect from our community. So we are making a plea for people to go out and purchase a box of diapers or baby wipes and bring them to our Help Center at 6800 P street (right behind East Park Theaters), or at our shelter at 110 Q St. You can also buy them from our Amazon Wish List, which can be found at the bottom of our website at pcmlincoln.org, and they will be sent directly to us for this drive.  This is a wonderful chance to help some women and small children going through some very horrific situations right now.

Thank you in advance for your donations!
