On April 10th, 2018, over 100 people gathered at 84th & O to walk for shoe awareness for the 8th annual One Day Without Shoes walk with Cornhusker Bank. The walk wrapped at 68th & P, PCM’s Help Center.

Cornhusker Bank has led this initiative since 2011, after being inspired by by TOMS Shoes which donates a pair of shoes to a child in need in a third-world country for every pair of Tom’s sold.

People’s City Mission’s goal is to raise 30,000 pairs of shoes with this year’s event.
If that happens, anyone in Lincoln in need of a pair of shoes would receive a pair!

Shoe donations are being collected around the city until 4/13.
