“It’s a thing that people, when they start realizing, ‘There’s a lot of things I can give my time to, but I’m so busy. There’s a lot of things I can give my money to, but I’m not sure it’ll make a real impact.’ This is easy. One pair of shoes makes one big impact. It is meaningful, easy to do, and really, the blessing comes back to them because they know they’re making a difference in someone’s life.” Barry Lockard, Cornhusker Bank.

April 10th, 2018 will be the 8th Annual One Day Without Shoes event held by Cornhusker Bank. Cornhusker Bank was inspired to start promoting this event by TOMS Shoes which donates a pair of shoes to a child in need in a third-world country for every pair of Tom’s Shoes which are sold. Cornhusker Bank recognized the needs in our community for those with inadequate footwear and partnered with People’s City Mission to help satisfy those needs.

We’d love for you to be a part of the event this year. We believe it’ll be our biggest year yet.
You can do that through donating shoes that you no longer fit or wear, or by walking with us on April 10th to raise awareness.
The route this year begins at Cornhusker Bank at 84th & O and ends at the PCM Help Center at 68th & P.

Donations of new or used footwear can be dropped off at any Cornhusker Bank or partner location April 2nd through the 13th, 2018.
