Be the Thanks in their Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is for all of us, and that includes the man who feels broken in spirit, having burned bridges with family and friends. It also embraces the mom and her children searching for a safe place to land amidst their hardships. Every individual we serve at our shelter and Help Center is precious in God’s sight, deserving of kindness, compassion, and the warmth of the holidays.

This time of year, we work tirelessly to ensure those we serve at our Help Center enjoy the best Thanksgiving meal possible. We will distribute “Turkey and Trimmings” boxes to hundreds of families in need, thanks to the generous donations from people like you. Your kindness allows these families to share a special meal at home, truly making you the thanks in their Thanksgiving.

At our Shelter, our annual Thanksgiving Day meal is a highly anticipated event for all our guests and anyone in Lincoln seeking a meal and companionship that day. And we are expecting over 500 folks to attend! This meal, too, is made possible through community donations and served by amazing volunteers.

Would you consider contributing to these needs? We are immensely grateful for your gifts this season—whether they be food, time, or financial support.
Your generosity makes a real difference! I hope and pray that you have a
wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with love and connection. Remember, kindness starts with you and with me, and together we can be the thanks in their Thanksgiving, brightening the season for all.

Blessings,
Pastor Tom

Please join us for the 14th annual Starry Nights Christmas Tree Festival, our largest community event and fundraiser. There will be elaborate, designer-decorated Christmas trees sponsored by local businesses and churches that will be auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting the homeless.

We also have a Christmas Market where you can purchase small decorated trees, wreaths, candles and more. Family-friendly activities include writing Letters to Santa, a photo booth, live local entertainment and scavenger hunt. This is a FREE event, and our way of saying THANK YOU to Lincoln for all of your love and support throughout the year. More information can be found on our Facebook page: @starrynightslincoln. We hope to see you there!
